Magnified.

Grief draws
big black lines
around my loneliness
heightens all my fears
Grief lays stark every vulnerability
and doubt
and dusts away the cobwebs
of memories both lost and hidden.

It comes again and again and again
relentlessly
an unwanted monsoon storm,
a necessary cruelty
and I keep hoping that it is just a season
that the sun will shine on me and warm me again
but the days get colder, gloomier,
and winter must first be braved.

Love how you've made your poetry into art. I'm inspired to try it myself.

Thank you for sharing this, the way you've expressed yourself is so beautiful. I'm sure you've heard a thousand times, but I am sorry for your lose.

Oh thank you both :o) Lunar I often feel so guilty when I visit someone's blog and want to try something similar - but when I read your comment my heart leapt, it felt such an honour that you felt that way about it (so thanks for freeing me of some of that HUGe amount of ridiculous false guilt I lug around my life LOL) and .. er, Free, or shd I call u Bitch (?! LOL) .. I can never hear that enough .. if you said it to me 20 years from now I'd still appreciate it .. thank you ..

By the way, Lunar - although I often "draw" words, that's the first time I ever actually composed a poem while drawing it out :o) having just re-permitted myself to indulge in an old passion - doodling :o) it's a poetic doodle, a poodle!

I really loved your poetry it is so true and I can tell that you put yourself into it which is really hard to do... I am actually starting a poetry blog with my friend and would be really grateful if you gave me feedback and checked it out. The URL is www.poemadayrealityatbay.blogspot.com if you feel like looking. Thanks!

But remember that winter, however gloomy and crepuscular will, just as inexorably, be followed by spring - that wonderful time of rebirth, promise and hope. Delve deep into winter's chill and fight it with all your might. Be assured, you do have the power and strength to overcome, you already have. And He is always by your side. God bless Nazu, we too are here.

Reminds me of the famous old song: Raahi manwa dukh ki chintha kyon sathathi hai, dukh tho apnaa saathi hai, Sukh hai ik chawn dalthi aathi hai jaathi hai, dukh to apnaa saathi hai.

Sorrow is but our constant companion so why to worry about it, happiness comes and goes, but sorrow is our constant companion....

Sorrow is what gives depth and dimension to poetry, art and gives life it real worth.....

Use this companionship to explore, understand, renew, express, expose, and reinvigorate yourself.....

You are the sum of all your experiences, feelings and much much more...something that only you can know and understand and relate to....

We are but waves in the same ocean of life, why must we clash against each other, when we can mingle and be one....

Sorrow and happiness are two shores touched by the same ocean but they are still an ocean apart and het connected....

Realize your dept, make your own waves.....make whirlpool if you must but never drown in your your sorrow....you are better than this, you are bigger than this....you are an ocean...you make waves....remember who you are and what you are capable of....be it, do it, make it....
